Viva Mexico & Feliz Aniversario!

It's crazy to think a few months ago we were counting down to our 6th year anniversary & we decided to plan a little getaway to Mexico to celebrate! Since Bre & Al happened to have the same week off for Al's birthday, we invited them to come and celebrate both our anniversary & his birthday!

Riding the banana boat, playing in the waves, laying on the beach and ordering all we could eat & drink! Doesn't get much better than that!!

After the beach we decided to walk around downtown ~~ we thought we were going to buy a little something for the girls and it ended up being an amazing afternoon bar hopping, haggling and wandering around downtown! 

Of course our hubbies would take a ridiculous pic... LOL 

They never fail to make us laugh!

 While we were on the beach, the guys saw these farmer hats painted with different sports teams... after a few drinks and a few shops, we found them again and the guys couldn't help themselves. They were so proud they got the price down to only $12...to this day, I still can't believe how many people comment on their hats!

This trip was definitely one for the books! We had an amazing time ~ and it was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation!

It's always bitter sweet when a vacation comes to an end...but we were so excited to get home and see our sweet girls!! It's even better knowing we are headed to Palm Springs next week for another getaway!

And happy 6th year anniversary to my amazing hubs! Every year gets better and I love taking new adventures with you! Can't wait to see what the next 60+ years holds for us :)

 Seriously...so much fun...but our family does not need anymore inflatable toys or inflatable outdoor activities! Although I won't be surprised if Jonathan finds something else during our next trip to Target!

Can't wait for Cabo, Palm Springs, Carlsbad weekend, Lagoon dates, more splash pad fun and soccer (starting in September)! It's a summer full of fun...that's for sure!

Twinkle Toes

This summer we signed Jayden up for ballet class and today was her second week! Last week she didn't do so great. When we showed up, even though she was really excited about going, she did not want to participate. She wanted to watch the first 40ish minutes! She had a mini meltdown when I left the room and she sat on the floor while the other girls danced with their teacher, Ms. Stephanie.

The last 5 minutes of the class, she finally stood up and twirled around a few times with the other girls and after class she ran up to me saying she "loved class!" and told me she's now a ballerina (too bad she didn't feel that way the whole class!). My mom definitely put it best, parenting is a very humbling profession. As much as you prepare your kids ~ they won't always do their best, behave the way you want or do as they are told.

Luckily, today was a new day and she did 150% better! It was like night and day! When we first drove up, I was a little nervous as she said she only wanted to watch today, but when Ms. Stephanie walked in, Jayden ran into the classroom and joined right in!

She was perfect in class! She listened, followed instructions and was SO adorable dancing in class!

4th of July

I'm such a procrastinator...I know I'm late posting about 4th of July ~ but we had too much fun not to write about it!

Anywhoo ~ this year we kept it simple and stayed local. We hung out with Scott, Pam, Katy & Steve at the pool and a block party by Steve's parents house.

Time for the parade to start! Jayden was lucky enough to ride with Steve's dad and she waved to EVERYONE as if she was a Disney princess in the light parade! 

We just about died laughing! That was pretty much my favorite part of the day!

Even though we didn't get to watch the fireworks this year, it was a super busy and fun day with the fam!
