Has it really been 6 months?

Time flies - I can't believe it's been 6 months since my last post! (eek!)

So much to get caught up on! Since October - we've celebrated so many holidays and birthdays - Jayden's 5th birthday and the twins 3rd birthday! For their birthdays this year, we got Disneyland passes! And so far we've had a blast visiting Mickey & Friends at the "Happiest Place on Earth".

UPDATES ON THE GIRLS...

Jayden
Height: 40 inches
Weight: 36 lbs.

Sophia
Height: 36 inches
Weight: 30 lbs.

Savannah
Height: 37 1/4 inches
Weight: 30 lbs.

The doctor was thrilled with all of their check ups. Even though Jayden is still on the small side, she's now in about the 10th percentile, while the twins are in about the 30-40th percentile.

Jayden's birthday we celebrated with the Erickson's before they went out of town for a wedding and then headed down to Carlsbad for the weekend! We had such a fun time and Grandma Dee made an AMAZING Elsa cake! It was quite the hit with all the girls (not to mention it was delicious too)!

For the twins birthday - we wanted to go to Disneyland, but since it was raining we went to the indoor playground! They had such a fun time! Sophia's favorite was riding the mini merry-go-round and playing in the toddler area, while Savannah's favorite was going down the big slide and crawling through the tunnels with Jayden and Ella!

As of yesterday - their new favorite book is "Sabrina Ballerina's Talent Show" - it's an interactive story book that talks to the girls and asks them questions. Even though the story doesn't change, they love reading this book over and over!

The girls also love playing outside, riding their bikes (Jayden can now ride without training wheels), playing softball, playing soccer, dancing and doing gymnastics.

SOCCER!
Jayden started soccer a few weeks ago - since her team has players between 5-7 years old, she's not only one of the youngest on the team, but also the smallest. She was pretty intimidated the first day, but we keep playing at home and so far, she loves it!

That's one good lookin' coach! ;)

SWIMMING!
Jayden and Savannah absolutely LOVE swimming - Jayden is starting swim team next month and at the rate Savannah is going, she should be water safe by the summer. Meanwhile Sophia would be perfectly happy just sitting on the steps playing with water toys. Hopefully one day she enjoys the water too.

Last month Jayden and I went to "Kinder Round Up" and officially enrolled Jayden in Kindergarten! She was so excited and now whenever we drive by the school, she points it out saying it's her new school!
One of our new favorite activities is playing with the white boards we bought from Target. We love playing "teacher" - where one of us draws a picture or letter on a small white board and the rest of us get to guess what it is!

This last weekend - Jonathan and I had a much needed weekend away! We went down to Carlsbad and spend the whole weekend together and got some much needed rest and relaxation! The weather couldn't have been better - it was warm and sunny the whole time we were there...and it was so quiet! Most of the first day we felt like we were missing something...but after a while we were able to let loose and enjoy the weekend!

'Til next time (hopefully it's not another 6 months!)...Ericksons out :)

Trips Galore!

To say we have been busy the last 6 weeks would be a bit of an understatement...pretty sure we have been on our fair share of airplanes and trips, some for business and some for fun!

Now that it's the end of October, it's finally settling down and not so crazy!

In September and October, I had 3 work visits back to back. I went to Denver one week, then Pennsylvania the next week. The day after I got back from Pennsylvania, Jonathan and packed and flew up to Sonoma for a wedding, and the day after we got home, I packed and left for a meeting in Rhode Island! A week later I had a girls weekend in Carlsbad and this past weekend Jonathan and I had a short staycation down at Pelican Hill in Newport.....whewwww that was a lot of packing, unpacking and laundry, laundry, laundry!
