Happy Anniversary My Love

It's hard to believe it's already been five years since Jonathan and I said "I DO"! It has literally flown by! Our wedding day was one of the best days of my life…and since then, we've had some pretty incredible adventures!
I love the life we've built together and feel beyond blessed with such an amazing husband and the most adorable babies in the world.

We've had so many amazing memories through the past 5 years…and every year I look forward to celebrating our anniversary :)

4 Months & the Happiest Babies On the Block

I've never seen babies as happy and smiley as our twins! I don't even think Jayden was this smiley…and she was one happy baby! But at only four months, Sophia & Savannah smile literally all day every day and we LOVE it!

Today was their 4 month check up and everything looked great!

Sophia:
13 lbs. 6 ounces
24 1/4 inches

Savannah:
12 lbs. 10 ounces
24 3/4 inches

Both girls are officially over 2 feet long and both are happy healthy babes! And while Savannah is still longer by 1/2 an inch, Sophia officially surpassed Savannah in weight! But the doctor was very pleased with their growth and milestones! He was amazed how strong they both are and how they are still breastfeeding 95% of the time. Lately we've been giving them a few ounces of formula once a day as a supplement to help me build up a good supply (since I lost nearly 400 ounces of breast milk when Jayden turned OFF the deep freezer!).

Today is the first day I put them in a 6 month onesie! It was a little big on them, but I like for them to have enough room to wiggle around since they are my little squirmers (especially little Sophia!). They are also doing amazing sleeping through the night ~ this morning they let me sleep in until 6:30! Savannah was up first and I had to wake up Sophia at 7 to feed her…what good sleepers we have! :) They must have known it was their 4 month birthday so they slept in for mama!!

Both Savannah and Sophia are rolling over, smiling, "cooing" and laughing! It's so much fun to see them learn new things!! Savannah is starting to grab for her knees and feet! You can tell she just soaks it all in as she explores everything she can see and touch! Sophia is a little chatter box and talks all the time ~ sometimes even to herself! I think she's going to be a social butterfly! They both love when people talk to them and they have the most beautiful smiles…Sophia even has little dimples!! I don't know where she got them, but they are awfully cute!

Sophia doing tummy time & loving it!

Meanwhile Savannah enjoying her cuddle sesh with mom! :)

The girls are also starting to reach for their toys…so we definitely have to keep an eye on them since everything is ending up in their mouths and they are both rolling over from their tummy to their backs!

Sisters & BFFs!

We are also starting to work on sitting up ~ it's definitely a few weeks away, but with how strong they are getting, I wouldn't be surprised if it's around their 5 month birthday!

Happy 4 months Sophia & Savannah! Mommy & Daddy are so incredibly proud of you and we love you so very, very much!! <3

A Few of Our Favorite Things

The other day Jonathan was talking about how much our life has changed in such a short amount of time. It's crazy to think Jonathan and I met 11 years ago and have been married for almost 5 years! Our lives went from traveling the world and doing whatever we want whenever we want, to simplifying everything to make things easy! With 3 girls under 3, that's our goal…make things easy, easy, easy!

If you asked me 5 years ago what a typical weekend would look like for me and Jonathan ~ I would have said going out with friends or traveling somewhere new and exciting. Now some of my favorite things are some of the simple things in life…my absolute favorite is walking with Jonathan and the girls down to Starbucks for breakfast and a nice hot cup of coffee and if I'm up for it, walking home the back way for a workout going uphill! And let me tell you, walking uphill pushing a stroller with two babies and a toddler is a W.O.R.K.O.U.T!

Out walking with all 3 girls!
2 in the stroller...

...and a baby in the Ergo!

Is it sad they know us by name at the Starbucks down the street? :)

Another one of my favorite things is watching my babies sleep…and taking pictures of them. I love how peaceful they look and I LOVE how they smile in their sleep. I've never seen babies smile as much as they do!

And they just started giggling last week ~ which is music to my ears!

It's funny how in a few short years the pictures in my phone went from only me, Jonathan, friends & family to pictures of pretty much only my babies! :)

More of our favorite things...

Dressing the girls in matching outfits & bows

Going to see the train or riding the train with Monnie!

Painting nails!

Teaching Jayden new things ~ Jonathan especially loves teaching her new sports!

Hanging out with Jayden, Sophia & Savannah's friends <3

& mommy and daddy's friends too!

Going swimming with Memaw & Papa!

& of course playing with daddy in the pool!

Jumping to daddy on 3!
1 - 2 - 3 JUMP!

Going to swim lessons with Ms. Allie every Tuesday night

Hearing the funny things that Jayden says and seeing the funny things she does!

Jayden hidding her "Nuguin" (Penguin)
There he is!
Daddy and Jayden named him Mr. Nuguin

Going to concerts in the park with family :)

Building blocks with Jayden - she loves building big towers!

And she thinks it's hilarious when the tower falls down :)

And our absolute favorite…spending time with our fun family!

It's so funny because people stop me all the time when I'm out with my girls and tell me to enjoy every moment because it goes so fast…so we are enjoying every single day and every single moment (even the hard ones)…because one day we'll look back and we'll be so happy & proud we lived in the moment with our girls.
