Easter & Spring Break

Now that Easter and Spring break are over, I feel like our schedule is finally getting back to normal. Last week Jayden was off of school for her Easter break and we had so much fun together! We had so many mommy & Jayden dates and we had a TON of Easter festivities!

Even though we didn't make it to see the Easter bunny his year -- mom fail -- we did take the girls on a ton of egg hunts and we had lots of friends, family and Jesus time. He is, afterall, the reason for the season!

First hunt with friends from church!

Hunt #2 at Tustin Sports Park with Memaw & Papa!

Hunt #3 at Denisse's!

Time to celebrate Jesus at church! We decided to go early this year so we could spend all day on Easter Sunday with family. The outdoor service an awesome and the weather could not have been better!

That night after church, we hid the Easter baskets for the girls ~ so on Easter morning Jonathan explained they each have a basket that they need to go find! It was hilarious watching the girls run all over the house looking for them!

Next -- off to Bre & Al's house! All the girls wore their adorable Parisian dresses that my grandma brought back from Paris for them last year.
All four girls with their Great Grandma Dee!! <3

Four generations of girls right here!
Just missing Lexi & Brooklyn and the pic would have been complete.

Opening their Easter surprises! The girls especially loved opening the eggs with candy in them! :)

My mom got the girls the cutest hula outfits from Hawaii. This was probably one of my favorite pics of the girls from Easter. What's better than Parisian dresses with Hawaiian hula skirts?!

Time for the next Egg Hunt! This is #4! Hula skirts & all!

Next ... off to Memaw and Papa's house to continue the Easter celebration!

... and another Egg hunt! The last one...#5!

Savannah was a little sleepy -- she just watched the other girls collect all the eggs.

Sophia wanted to help cook Easter dinner while Savannah hung out with her baby doll!

Ended the night with a fun game of hide-and-go-seek. Sophia made our night by playing peek-a-boo with the family! It was ADORABLE! <3

Such a fun time with friends & family! And it never gets old hanging with these cute girlies!

Happy Easter!!

Man/Hubby/Daddy of the Year

I never imagined 7 years ago when Jonathan and I were getting ready for our wedding, that our love for each other would only grow and our relationship would blossom into what it is today. With the ups and downs of life, sometimes love is a choice and like any relationship, it does take compromise and sacrifice, but with that also comes the best love, friendship and companionship that I could have ever asked for!

Fast forward almost 7 years and 3 girls later and I could not be more thankful or feel more blessed to have married not only my best friend, but the most honorable, loving, humble man I've ever met.

So thank you Jonathan - thank you for this life we live. Thank you for your upmost integrity, your selflessness, your faithfulness and living out your values and morals to the highest. Our girls have no idea how lucky they are to have you as their daddy <3 but I do know how lucky I am to have you as my husband. I love you with every single inch of my soul. I know that together we can conquer anything and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

Happy Birthday Sophia & Savannah

I'm still coming to grips that today is Savannah and Sophia's 2nd birthday. It really feels like just yesterday we were headed home from the hospital with "the babies" and starting off on this adventure of a family of 5.

The last two years have been filled with so much fun and adventure! And in the last few months, I feel like their little personalities are blossoming and both of them are so unique in their own little way. It's amazing how much they absorb (and repeat!). They can say more words than I can even count, they can (try and) sing along to about 10+ songs, they are learning how to count to 10 and learning their ABC's. Both Sophia & Savannah love playing outside, using their imagination and playing "pretend" in their play kitchen and doll house, reading books and doing puzzles! Savannah is pretty much a pro at the squishy puzzles we have. I'm impressed with how quickly she can put all the pieces back (even if it's a new puzzle, she can do it almost all on her own!).

Another one of their favorite things is driving in their Frozen jeep! Jayden usually drives, but recently Sophia has been taking the wheel and I can't believe how well she's able to navigate. At first, we thought she was just going around in circles, but lately she's been able to drive all over the backyard! If this is any indication what she's going to be like when she turns 16, we will have our hands full!

Their 2 year check up is on Friday, so I'm anxious to find out how they are doing on the growth chart. I still think Savannah is slightly taller and weighs slightly more than Sophia.

Right now their favorite thing to do is sing happy birthday and say "it's my happy birthday". Pretty sure Sophia has been saying that since Jayden's birthday last month! Hope she's not disappointed when she learns your birthday is only 1 day out of the year! :)

To celebrate their birthday this year, we did a really low key family dinner and of course brought out the beloved bounce house! Which is their favorite thing to do! They could jump in there every day and not get tired of it! For a while, they would wake up and the first thing they would say when we walked into their room was "bounce house"!

Today they had a fun celebration with all their friends at their daycare. They decorated with Frozen balloons and birthday decor (which they LOVED!) and I brought in left over strawberry cupcakes from their dinner over the weekend! They were a hit!

I picked them up early to spend the afternoon with them and that night we went to Islands for dinner! We were planning on going to Chuck-E-Cheese, but decided they probably wouldn't fully enjoy the games since it's more of a mini Dave & Busters with arcade games. The best part about eating at Islands, besides the delicious food, is that the booths are huge and perfect for the girls to spread out and color!

Playtime in mommy and daddy's room before bedtime. One of their favorite songs is 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed and tonight we had 3 little monkeys jumping in our bed! :)

One of the best things about being a mommy is seeing the world through the eyes of your children...and it could not be more fun with these girls God has blessed us with!

Two years ago today...

Happy Birthday to the sweetest two year old's! Your bright and spunky personalities bring so much joy, fun and adventure in our lives every day! And your sweet smiles warm our hearts. We absolutely love being your mommy and daddy and love you past the sun, the moon and every star in the sky.
