Independence Day 2015

This year for 4th of July we went down to the beach house again - even though the weather was a little overcast, it was such a fun weekend! Jonathan had Friday off work so we went down Thursday afternoon. Friday morning Jonathan left at 5:00 to go deep sea fishing with the guys and they had a blast! While they were gone, the girls went for the usual walk to the train station so Ella and Jayden could see the trains and then off to Starbucks for a nice hot cup of coffee :)

Deep sea fishing at it's finest! The guys had a great time!

As Jayden would say…stopping for "mommy's coffee"
Is it sad she knows the logo for Starbucks and that's her immediate response? She also asks for her bagel or "fuffin" (muffin) :)

Train station fun! As usual Jayden covered her ears. She even covered her ears on the walk all the way down to the train station! I told her to look for the red flashing lights because that means the train is coming…now she likes to say "choo choo train coming…red fashing ights" haha

Looking for the train!
The anticipation was killing her…but she was fully prepared with her hands on her ears!

Here comes the train!!!!
Ella isn't even phased, Bre is excited, Jayden's still covering her ears, mom's hair is flying all over the place and I look exactly the same in both pictures!

Girls getting ready for snack time!

I love these two beauties!
And they love each other!

Play time and nap time for these two cutie pies!

The next day we set up on the beach for a day of fun! The twins even took a 2 hour nap on the beach so I was actually able to mingle for a bit (hands free!) and play some corn hole. I played against Jonathan and whooped him!

Mommy was on FIRE :)

Jayden had front row seats to the action!
And would pick up all the bags mommy missed and put them in the hole!

Love that we are best buds with our family! <3
And we have so much fun together!! :)

That afternoon I hung with Sophia and Savannah inside while Jonathan kept an eye on Jayden playing outside with all her cousins. She LOVES being at the beach and now asks to go to the "showshen" (ocean) almost every day!

BFFs forever!

Cuddle time <3

Unfortunately this year they didn't light off fireworks from the Oceanside pier, but we still had an awesome view of all the fireworks up and down the beach. We could see all the fireworks from Newport down to San Diego!

Shout out the Bre for the AMAZING delicious dessert! I loved how she decorated it also! I didn't feel so bad going back for seconds (and thirds) since technically there was fruit in it…so it was kind of healthy :) I even got caught red-handed in the fridge for a midnight snack at 3 AM. I didn't know Jonathan was going to come out and find me in the fridge with a big 'ol bite in my mouth!

I think Jonathan and I are in agreement it's not the easiest thing taking a 2 1/2 year old and two 3 month old babies down to the beach…but we make it work!

Can't wait to take the girls down to the beach next year for the 4th Annual 4th of July weekend in Carlsbad <3

PS. Thanks Al for such an awesome video!
Glad we now have a professional videographer in the family! :)
